What’s up with your boy network brah in today’s topic for this CCNP route exam is exam topic one point to expand explain general network challenges yeah also sections subsections one point to a unicast one point to be our order packets and one point to see a symmetric routing we don’t go all go over all three of those I’ll.
Show you on the topics that is the exam topics on for the CCP products and right there you see again this is network principles is.
Tempest in the exam section 1.
2 is part of that so I guess that would be like I guess 2% of the exam but it’s good it’s good to know everything all right so let’s go these powerpoints so yeah that is what we go over um right here says explain that general network challenges right then it says unicast now the thing about unicast traffic.
That’s that’s normal most traffic in the network is unicast traffic and i’ma show y’all you know a simulation of what unicast traffic is in but I guess.
In this exam topic right here it just says it says unicast but they want to tell you they want you to explain what the general network challenges with unicast unicast flooding is one of those challenges that you can run into with unicast traffic but um so.
Yeah I’m gonna go over that.
These are the commands that we’re gonna go I’m not gonna go fully because for the Cisco IOS commands switch port and switch port block.
Those are remedies for unicast.
Flooding that you could that these are.
Remedies for unicast flooding you can do.
These on the switch so I have a hard I have a switch but that’s later to technology this is a routing exam it’s a for switching exam so I wanted to show y’all that a router can actually do switch port and switch port block them them to commands right there these two commands are normally something you do on the interface on the switch but you could also do the monitor I unfortunately don’t have a router that can’t do it I tried to look for the gns3 I I.
Couldn’t I don’t have any images that do it um try to do the packet tracer that obviously didn’t work that’s limit that’s really limited the only place I was able to find this command at work was.
At work and I’m not gonna show y’all and he kind of configurations underneath you.
Know hard where I work so I’ll just kind of explain what these commands do and and Wireshark imma open up I may or may not open up wireshark for.
This but this is a command that you could use to see out of order packets that that you may run.
Into and we’re going I’m gonna explain all that as well alright so section 1.2 a is unicast right like I said before most network traffic is unicast.
Like here it says right most network traffic is unicast in nature meaning that travels traffic travels specifically from a single source device to a single destination right just one computer to another computer and back that’s is unicast traffic I’m gonna show you the differences between unicast.
Traffic there’s also broadcast traffic and there’s also multicast traffic there’s also anycast but that’s for ipv6 and these again these are the challenges that you can run into with unicast.
